How we approach
sustainability

What sustainability means for our customers

For Giving Europe, sustainability is not just an internal process; it also offers direct benefits for our customers. Whether you are looking for responsible materials, reliable delivery, or transparency in product impact: we make sure sustainability contributes to your success.

Below, you can read what this means in practice.

Insight into CO₂ footprint per product

We measure the CO₂ impact of items from our Impression range using a specific calculation methodology. This gives customers insight into the climate impact per item. It helps you make well-founded choices and respond to sustainability goals within your own organization.

Safe and responsible products

Product safety is a basic requirement for us. We comply with all EU directives and REACH regulations, and we always test our items for safety and quality. We also take consumer safety into account, such as use by children or contact with food.

Consistent quality

Our products are not only sustainable, but also functional and consistently high in quality. Thanks to clear quality standards and close cooperation with our suppliers, we ensure a reliable level of quality: from material selection to finishing.

Reliable delivery

We continuously invest in our supply chain and logistics. Thanks to strong partner relationships and our own stock positions, we can respond quickly, even during seasonal peaks. That means fewer surprises and more certainty.

Clear KPIs and measurable goals

Our sustainability goals are measurable. These include reducing CO₂ emissions, limiting waste, and providing transparency in material use. We proactively share this data through factsheets, certificates, and product information. This helps customers substantiate their own CSR reporting.

Sustainable material choices

We continuously expand our range with products made from recycled, reusable, or natural materials. This makes it easier to make sustainable choices without compromising on appearance or impact.

Fair production

We work with suppliers who endorse our Supplier Code of Conduct and are monitored by organizations such as amfori BSCI. This means better working conditions, fair wages, and greater transparency throughout the chain.

Sustainability as an extra service

In short: our sustainable way of working is not only good for the planet, but also for your brand. You can count on reliable products, substantiated information, and a supplier that does business as responsibly as you do.

We embrace the Sustainable Development Goals

Our internal strategy is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals emphasize the importance of sustainable growth—economic, social, and environmental.

Within our policy, we focus on five SDGs:

SDG-8-1

Fair work and economic growth

We are aware of our role in the supply chain and the responsibility that this entails. That is why we are committed to supporting our suppliers in creating sustainable working conditions. We are a member of Amfori BSCI and have also drawn up a Supplier Code of Conduct, which we have asked our non-European suppliers to endorse.

SDG-12-1

Responsible consumption and production

We promote the circular economy by using recycled and natural materials. We have also acquired a calculation method to map the carbon footprint of our Impression products.

SDG-13-1

Climate action

Climate action is about measuring and reducing the impact of our carbon footprint on the planet. We do this by choosing more sustainable options for transport and energy and by using less environmentally harmful materials in our products and their packaging.

SDG-14-1

Life in the water

As part of our commitment to combating plastic pollution, Favorite Gifts, the parent company of Giving Europe, has signed the Dopper Wave. With this pledge, we endorse the importance of using reusable bottles and cups instead of disposable plastic bottles, for example. All plastic bottles and cups have been removed from our offices with clean drinking water, and plastic bottles of water are no longer offered in our range.

SDG-16-1

Peace, justice, and strong public services

We want to conduct business in an ethical and fair manner in every transaction we make. We oppose corruption and bribery and reject all forms of discrimination.
