Sustainability at Giving Europe
At Giving Europe, we take sustainability seriously. Our social responsibility goes beyond simply complying with regulations. We make conscious choices for our people, our products, and the planet. Everything we do, we do with the long term in mind. Transparently, measurably, and with concrete goals.
Our strategic approach
Our sustainability strategy is based on the guidelines of the European Sustainability Reporting Directives (ESRD), which stem from the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). In close collaboration with our stakeholders, we have determined the themes on which we as an organization can have the greatest impact.
Although Giving Europe is not required to report under the CSRD, we have made a conscious decision to go beyond what is legally required. For us, sustainability is not a side issue, but a structural part of our business operations.
We focus on six central themes:
Climate change and adaptation
Our activities generate CO₂ emissions, particularly during production and transport. We recognize that these emissions contribute to climate change and accept our responsibility in this regard. We mapped our emissions in 2024 and will set reduction targets in 2025. We also encourage our partners in the chain to become more sustainable.
Information about products and services
We want to communicate transparently about the materials and environmental impact of our products. By providing insight into material use and CO₂ impact at the product level, we help customers make conscious, sustainable choices.
Health, safety, and vitality
Our employees are our priority. We invest in a pleasant, safe, and healthy working environment with good employment conditions, a solid pension plan, and a focus on vitality and well-being. We believe that fit and satisfied people make the difference—every single day.
Human rights
We take our responsibility in the supply chain seriously. Through fair purchasing practices and long-term relationships with suppliers, we are committed to respecting human rights. Through our membership of amfori BSCI, we are improving working conditions and increasing transparency in the supply chain.
Raw materials
Our products and packaging are largely based on raw materials. By purchasing more sustainable materials, we can reduce our ecological footprint. Waste management is part of this theme: we comply with applicable guidelines and set targets for waste reduction.
Corruption and ethical business practices
Honest business practices are a matter of course. We have taken measures to minimize corruption and integrity risks. By structurally embedding this theme in our policy and behavior, we protect our organization and our network against reputational damage.
We embrace the Sustainable Development Goals
Our internal strategy is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals emphasize the importance of sustainable growth—economic, social, and environmental.
Within our policy, we focus on five SDGs:

Fair work and economic growth
We are aware of our role in the supply chain and the responsibility that this entails. That is why we are committed to supporting our suppliers in creating sustainable working conditions. We are a member of Amfori BSCI and have also drawn up a Supplier Code of Conduct, which we have asked our non-European suppliers to endorse.

Responsible consumption and production
We promote the circular economy by using recycled and natural materials. We have also acquired a calculation method to map the carbon footprint of our Impression products.

Climate action
Climate action is about measuring and reducing the impact of our carbon footprint on the planet. We do this by choosing more sustainable options for transport and energy and by using less environmentally harmful materials in our products and their packaging.

Life in the water
As part of our commitment to combating plastic pollution, Favorite Gifts, the parent company of Giving Europe, has signed the Dopper Wave. With this pledge, we endorse the importance of using reusable bottles and cups instead of disposable plastic bottles, for example. All plastic bottles and cups have been removed from our offices with clean drinking water, and plastic bottles of water are no longer offered in our range.

Peace, justice, and strong public services
We want to conduct business in an ethical and fair manner in every transaction we make. We oppose corruption and bribery and reject all forms of discrimination.
